How to give NSE NCFM and NISM Exams

• Q1 - Who can join NCFM / NISM ?

  Any one can join and give the NCFM /NISM exams. No formal educational background is necessary for registration to the NISM/NCFM programme. Nor is there an age requirement.

• Q2 - How to register with NISM?

  To register with NISM , please visit - https://certifications.nism.ac.in/ (Use Mozilla to open this site if there is an issue with Chrome)

  Please note – PAN Card is compulsory for registering for NISM exams. Keep a scan copy ready.

  Also keep a scan copy of your photograph ready.

  Once you register with NISM, then you can choose the exam, the examination centre, the date and time and make the exam fee payment.

  After payments, take a printout of the hall ticket. Also download the NISM workbook.

  Do carry your original PAN card and the Hall ticket printout at the time of going to give the exams. Its compulsory.

• Q3 - Is there any deadline for taking the test after registration?

  Yes. Test fees are valid for 180 days from the date of payment. Candidates need to enroll for the test(s) within 180 days from payment of fees. Once the candidates selects the date of exam then this option will not be there, the candidate has to appear for the exam otherwise the payment will get expired.

• Q4 - When and where to take the test?

  The test is usually conducted everyday on week days – Monday to Saturday at various NSE and NISM centers throughout India.

• Q5 - What is the procedure for taking the tests?

  A hall ticket will be made available to you once you enroll for an exam. Please take a print out of the same. On arrival at the designated test centre on the specified day, the test administrator verifies identity of the candidate and grants him access to the test terminal, Candidates are required to bring hall ticket along with relevant photo id proof (as mentioned on the hall ticket) which is verified by the test administrator before allowing the candidate to take the test.

• Q6 - When do I get my result?

  As soon as you finish your exam and press the submit button, the marks will be displayed on the screen. For taking a printout of certificate, you will have to log in on the NISM website and download the soft copy to take a printout.

• Q7 - Can I get any assistance during the test?

  The candidate can bring only a calculator and a pen to the examination hall and nothing else. No assistance is available during the test. Rough sheets are provided to the candidate for carrying out their workings. A backup sheet is provided to the candidate to list out the answers selected by him. The candidate can write the answers in the given sheet to avoid risks of power failures.

• Q8 - How long is the Certification valid?

  The certificate validity differs for different modules. Its generally from 3 years to 5 years. The details are available on the NISM and NSE websites.

• Q9 - How much fees to pay?

  The fees amount differs for different modules. They are generally in the range of Rs 1250 to Rs 2000.

• Q10 - Which exams are provided by NISM and their complete details?
